What are Munches?

A lot of people are nervous about going to their first munch, but afterwards, most of them look back and wondered why they were so worried. If you like, join our mailing list and try posting to the list for reassurance: you'll find plenty of people who were once in a similar position!

But what is a munch? - A munch is a meeting of people, most of who don't know each other. We meet in a public place to discuss life and perhap BDSM, have fun and maybe a drink. Its like going down the pub for a drink with your friends. We often go out for a meal after the pub!

What to wear? - The dress code is what we call 'vanilla' - that is normal clothes, the clothes you would normally wear to go out for a drink with your friends!

Will anyone get spanked? - No one will be spanked or tied up, but we may talk about this - Remember we meet in public, this is not a party or play party.

First time views - If you are worried about 'coming out' to a munch for the first time - please look at this - Beginners guide to Munches

How will I find you? - You'll be able to find us in the pub - we will have a copy of the Kent A to Z on our table, so don't worry!

If you are at all worried about attending, or walking in alone, never been to a munch before or don't know what to wear etc etc etc please contact us and we can talk and hopefully find ways to make you feel more comfortable. Click on Join now and fill out the form , send us an email, or look for us in the chat room #KinkyKent_UK. We want everyone to feel welcome and able to come.....

Many people ask why we have munches in vanilla (non-BDSM) settings. The public setting makes it easier for new people to join in, and we all can get to know each other socially. Then if people want to go on to BDSM clubs they know us and vice versa. In fact we normally like people to have attended one munch before booking for Club XS through KK.
