West Kent (was Tunbridge Wells) Munch The TW Munch returns to its usul home on Friday, 4th April at The Plough Inn in Leigh, near Hildenborough. Join us from 7:30pm, at the table with the 'A to Z' map on it! We usually sit at the back on the right hand side (when you walk in the main door) - The big noisey table but please dont let this put you off, and I will be waring a black Top Hat. You cannot miss that! Everyone is welcome for part or all of the evening. The munch is to chat to other's in the local scene, both about BDSM or anything! Please dress as you normally would going out on a Friday evening. Alot of people eat at the pub, as the food is really good. Although the munch officially starts at 7:30, there always seems to be some people there soon after 6pm! (perhaps they just want two servings of the wonderful food without anybody knowing!) The Plough is a delightful, 16th-century country pub, which enjoys a quiet location set back from the main road, yet within easy reach of the main transport links. The quaint building is of a traditional, local style with very ornate, original window-panes. The historic feel is continued inside, with the original stone-faced walls, beamed ceilings, wood-block floors and open log fires contributing to the cosy atmosphere. The furniture also has a well-used feel, with old oak tables and chairs throughout. There is a well-maintained, private garden outside which is great for al fresco drinking and eating in the summer. Directions: Leigh Road, Hildenborough, Nr. Tonbridge, Kent TN11 9AJ Located directly on the B245, just a couple of miles northwest of the centre of Tonbridge Or, if you trust Queenie: Basically you head for Hildenborough, take a left (if coming from Tonbridge direction) towards Leigh and keep going until you just come into the village. At the green the road bends to the right a little but you want to take a left cutting through the green. Follow this road, gets very windy and one track for some of the way and eventually you come to the Plough (pronunciation same as the constellation) Massive car park, olde worlde pub, can't miss it! |
