Munches

Ashford Munch The next Ashford munch will be on 12th September 2008 Please note the new pub - The County Hotel. This is a 100 yrds or so down the high street from the old pub, the Man of Kent. We are meeting in this busy town centre pub. Its a normal Weatherspoon pub that serves food and drinks and happens to have some nice tables at the front (high street) on the right as you enter that (hopefully) we can grab for our use. We'll have an A to Z of Kent map book and a teddy bear in bondage on our table, so please come and join us. The aim of the munch is for as many of us who want to, to meet up and be able to talk about anything (and possibly everything), to get to know each other and have a good laugh! Please come for 30 minutes or the whole evening, join us just for a drink in the pub or come for a curry as well. On average munches attract 10 to 30 people. Thanks to every one who attends. Some of us stay on after the munch to sample the delights of the local curry house. If you are at all worried about walking in or finding us, please email us and we can arrange to meet outside and come in with you. The map below shows where the County Hotel is in the town centre (marked with the pointer), car parks and the station. The bus station is in Park Street. Ashford has a fantastic ring road - all one way (clockwise), as are many of the town centre roads, so take care if you are driving. Please NOTE the one way system has all changed and is now two-way. Dress code is the normal clothes you would wear out on a Friday evening. The pub will of course have 'normal' drinkers so please note we have to keep any 'kinky' talk or actions to ourselves. We look forward to seeing you all there. If you are driving please note that the multi-storey car parks do close early so its best to head for an open air one. We use the Vicarage Lane car park ourselves. Vicarage Lane is one way and you have to turn off the ring road at the right place. When leaving the car park, walk past the public toilets (in the top corner), up a short service road and then turn right down a small (lit) alley way next to the old cinema building. This will bring you into the town centre. Turn right and walk down the High Street to find the County Hotel, on your left hand side.Local Map showing car park and pub If you have any further questions, concerns, please email us on munch@kinkykent.co.uk and we'll get back to you |
